I am new to Crossfit and I have no knowledge of the movements or the names of these. What do I do?

In Crossfit all movement can be scaled to fit your level. Anyone can participate at Butcher’s Lab, regardless of your level, age og physical form. The most important thing is you take it easy to begin with and focus on the technique and movements being taught in class. Before the class start, grab a hold of the coach on the floor and let her or him know that you are new to Crossfit and then she or he will make sure that the workout is scaled to your capabilities.

Before you get into the grind of Crossfit we recommend that you partake in the Intro Class, where the overall focus is on basic movement along with others on your level.

How do I book a free Intro Class?

Please contact us on info@butchers.dk with name and phone number and we will reserve a spot on the intro class.

Can I join the Intro Class with my friend?

As a member of Butcher’s Lab you are always welcome to join and support your friend on the Intro Class. But note, that this class is designed and programmed for the ones who are new to Crossfit.

Do I have to sign up for class / Workout of the day?

Yes, Butcher’s Lab has its very own app you can download on app store called: Butcher’s Lab. In the Butcher’s Lab app you can easily book any class.

Do I need to bring anything?

Bring your flat training shoes (not running shoes) and wear clothes intended for active use.

How do I put my membership on hold?

You need to write an email to info@butchers.dk Please just state your name and inform of the period (start/end) you wish to put the membership on hold for.

Do you have changing rooms and showers?

Yes, in both locations. In our box in the Meat Packing District (Kødbyen), you will find to changing rooms on the 1st floor.

Can I drop the weights?

Yes, you can drop the weights. But only if you have a minimum of 40 kgs on the barbell. Note, it is not allowed to drop dumbells or kettlebells.

Can I get personal 1-to-1 training?

Yes. We have some very dedicated coaches who would love to help you, whether you want to improve gymnastics, weightlifting, endurance or just overall Crossfit they know how to help you reach your goals.
