Intro course

Butchers Basics is a fundamental programme for any new member starting out on their CrossFit journey. We will introduce movements to you in a way that helps you understand your body and the importance of scaling movements to your level.

Everyone started somewhere, and we want to guide you with some knowledge and lingo before heading into your first WOD (Workout of the Day) Learn what CrossFit is all about, challenge your body, learn new skills and most importantly have some fun.

If you haven’t done CrossFit before

We recommend that you begin your CrossFit adventure by attending the following 3 classes you see below. These are scheduled every single week and give you a great understanding of what CrossFit is all about before hitting the floor with the rest of our members.


The reasons why we would like you to join these classes is primarily for your own safety and to avoid any injuries. It is also to make sure you move well and have a good understanding of commonly used exercises within CrossFit. Lastly, it is a great way to get you integrated into Butcher’s Lab, get to know your coaches and get you up to speed on how CrossFit works.

Program

Monday program – 6.00 – 7.30 PM
(Only for members)
Welcome to CrossFit - Welcome to Butcher’s Lab.
Squat and press movements executed with good and safe technique. Follow by a basic workout with the movements implemented.
Wednesday programme – 7.00 – 8.00 PM
(For everybody)
Today you will join the intro class on the main floor. Introduction to some fundamental movements and a workout that awaits all levels.
Friday programme – 6.00 – 7.30 PM
(Only for members)
Here we will introduce to you the deadlift and weightlifting. How to execute them safely and move efficiently. Follow by a basic workout with the movements implemented.
